Hey guys,
I've some weird problems with HDRI LInk lately. The plugin used to work as it should until today where no hdri can be loaded anymore. Linking to arnold (demo) or the luminance channel of a standard c4d shader just works fine, only Octane gives me "error Loading texture". If I'm linking the Texture and not the File attribute, I can browse through the purchased hdri, BUT the color and intensity os completely off. Loading the.exrs manually works just fine.
The error occurs with the latest stable and the current TEST Release. Reinstalling C4D didnt help, as well as adding the Path to the Texture Paths. Any suggestions? Maybe i changed some settings directly in Octane, i just cant figure out it i may have been.
Edit: working scene won't work either. I didn't update or change (file wise) a thing. oO
HDRI Link Plugin - broken

Greetings, I hope this helps, use the set driver/set driven function in the imagetexture File (driven) field and in the Hdri link path field (driver), this solves for me in the mean time this is fixed, GSG has to be informed maybe they changed something in the plugin.
Best regards.
Omar.

Hey, thanks for the quick reply. You mean something like this? UNfortunately that doesn't help. I think it has something to do with some settings in octane cause i didn't change a thing. Maybe checked or unchecked something.

I forgot also Do the usual linking of the Hdri link (drag and drop the file field onto the icon)

I made a quick video for you, so you can check the workaround.
this issue appeared for me when GSG updated the plugin, other renderers work ok.

wow, great... it works. Thanks a lot.
I'm gonna get a new workstation in the next couple of weeks, curiuos if a clean install will solve the problem. Till then I'm gonna use the workaround. Ahmet, any thoughts on this problem? Is there a way top provide you a usable log or something?
