We are rendering an image 50 inches by 70 inches at 150 DPI image on 3 Titan Z's.
1) Would the size of the resolution make any difference to the power draw... I know more memory is required for the larger render size. Does that lead to more power draw? The rendering starts and has never gone past 4 hours before crashing the entire machine and maybe a circuit breaker as well.
We have run animation and smaller render sizes that run for several days in a row with no problem. (They use less card memory... but are going for much longer periods of time with no crashes)
2.) Does the new option "Use all available cards at full power (In maya plugin at least) overwrite any automatic cooling that nvidia puts into its cards? Or does that just refer to priority settings? I do not see that feature on the stand-alone.
Any ideas
Thanks
Peter

Hi Peter,
I guess that you are too close to VRAM limit
Could you try to lower the Parallel sampling value at 1, in this way you should see a reduction in VRAM consumption.
Another way is to export to Standalone, in order to free up some resources, and if is not enough, use this Lua script to split the render in smaller tiles:

Let me know if you need more help.
ciao beppe
