Technical Question: What is Octane doing exactly, when it says 'updating'?
We all know that Octane render takes a long time preparing scene before it actually starts rendering. Now my question is — what is it doing? Even after it's finished preparing Materials and Meshes, it takes significant (Minutes) times until it starts rendering. It's unlikely that transferring the data to the GPU takes so long (a PCIe 3.0 x4 connection is 3.94GB/s)
so what is it?

Until this message appear the plugin does their job on C4D scene and collect/convert c4d scene to a octane scene and calls an update. Update means that another operation on side of Octane Core and it start to analyse and prepare this scene for a render process. After process completed we start to fetch render results.
