Hi to all,

I am not sure if this is asked before.
I bought Octane long time ago but now I have some time to play with it.

I have one question, I import objects into octane, setup materials and if I want to add new geometry, I need to import all over again? Can I add new geometry into existing scene?
If I import entire scene again, with changes done in my base program, all my materials are reset in Octane, so I need to do everything from scratch.

Am I missing something, how you deal with this?

Thank you!

to add new geometrie you have to use your host app. but you can reload the scene in octane without setting all new.

to reload, and thus keeping your material assigment intact, select your obj node, and at the bottom (in the right side panel) there is a button and the path for the original file, click and select the new obj file, at reload, all your previous assigments will remain, and you'll just need to tune the new materials.
