  • Updated Octane Renderer to 3.06 TEST 3

Wohoooo!!!!!! Thank you so much neonZorglub for bringing us update so we too can enjoy 3.06 for Max.

I am totally loving Adaptive sampling, I am noticing almost a 50% reduction in render time for most of my scenes!! I didn't realize what an impact this would have ~ I am even daring to use 3.06 in production :) Thanks again!!!! Today is a good day

Do not ask right now, I know that a lot of work, it would be great in the future to get the panel most needed!
In this panel should be: Mobile proxy, Phoenix fd - Fume FX, Self-light shader conversion, Scale correction, Shader converter (Corona.vray.autocad-revite.fstorm.),Remove noise parameters ( Ready-made presets, animation-statics),Materials (gloss, reflecting, diffusion ,,,, and so on))

I will remind you of this in the future!

I have a scene which renders fine in 4.30 but not in 4.31.
It stops after one sample and only one of four GPUs are active. But not rendering, only the little timer (render time) counts up and up. The extended error log says nothing.

How can I share the file with you guys to elaborate the error? It has several licensed assets and graps assets from different places all over my workstation.

confirm two mistakes 1. freezing the renderer (after this error even when you restart 3dmax - this error remains in the scene) 2. error starting https://youtu.be/piuUoMuOb9Y

usually, this occurs when you configure adaptive rendering during active imaging - test 3dmax 2017

I can't go on video because it happens according to my feelings spontaneously - if I find an error be sure to show the video

Ahh I see Goldisart. Got the same "active viewport" issue with my aboove mentioned scene.

you can do most of them via maxscript, you can check out my script thing in the signature, you have a "To movable proxy button" at least, and I have at least some basic setting to create glossy diffuse specular from wirecolor rgb, and convert between them.. it could be made so it switches between other materials, it's open for editing

New SHADOWS pass not working. In Octane SA 3.06 Test 4 works fine.

I can confirm this error - it appear especially with higher resolutions.

For me temporary workaround is to switch to "Noise" layer in Octane Viewport. Then render starts to work correctly.

This error doesn't affect regular rendering in my case - only Octane Live View.

Can you confirm it?

what expected exposure should be set to if under camera exposure is set to 6. Should i change it to 6?
