Hello there
How does one go about having an image as a backdrop?
I checked out the example demo scene 'background_and_matte' which was promising, but reflections/refractions do not show the background object material. They just render black. What am I doing wrong?
Cheers

It's simply like compositing in a compositin software with render results. So not a 3d process and not being on the renderer. So you can't get any effect on 3d world. Try to use sky+image with octane perspective projection for that. Link your camera in perspective projection.
