I know this is probably very simple but I can't find the setting for it to export the z-pass to do the Depth of Field in post production. I want to export the DOF-pass from c4d. Before I started using octane when I was using the standard renderer i was adding in the multipasses the Depth Pass to export the camera z-pass. I searched on how to do it in octane but I couldn't find it. Because i want to be able to edit the DOF later in postproduction.
Hope you can help me please.
How to export Depth of Field Pass from Octane ?

Thank you very much. I just have one more question please is it possible to edit the Focal Depth of the depth of field inside Cinema 4D for the pass ? I attached a screenshot, it seems like the DOF is autogenerated it would be great if i could control and animate it like for example we can with the octane camera tag but if i do it with the octane camera tag the DOF is rendered with the Beauty pass also. I want to control the Focal Depth for the z-pass without affecting the Beauty Pass to control where the DOF is happining later in post production that's why I'm not using the octane camera tag for it.
I know this might be very simple but honestly i can't find the setting for it.

Octane For Cinema 4D developer / 3d generalist

The Z-dept max attribute is either in Live viewer setting, if you use InfoChannel kernel
or in render passes /infopasses settings if you use render passes/infopasses.
you can animate it
but that's not a good idea, nobody do that.
The way to animate DOF in post is to do it in post, and animate the setting in the plugin you use
i guess you use After effect, just animate the "select depth" locator in the DepthOfFiield Filter.
Also take care to set in C4d :
sampling mode : non distributed without pixel filtering
this is what the postSoftware expect, a non filtered pass.
or in render passes /infopasses settings if you use render passes/infopasses.
