These 480s are tempting beasts but their damn power requirements (PSU + electricity bill) was what made me go with 2x 460.
Still, great find man.

If I didn't just buy 2x 480's I would've bought these... If I see anymore deals like this should I post them?

BTW, I read on the forums that overclocked cards are not the best option for Octane - because Octane uses the card to the max, and that could present stability / overheating problems during long periods of rendering.

I don't know much about this technicalities, just something to note. Maybe someone with an (heavily) OC-ed card could report on his experiences.

You could always under clock them if they've been OC'ed. Can't beat that price though. Would be nice to have in my cubix box.

Well that sucks :shock: When I had looked at his feedback initially everything looked fine. I bought both of my GTX 480's on ebay, no issues; hopefully he'll make good on his sale. Hope it didn't impact anyone on this forum.
