Compositing Tag.
I use this a lot in C4D and I'm lost without it.
Compositing Tag.

Compositing tag is not magical itself. I believe you mean the features. Object tag has all possible options at the moment. Note that it is not a traditional scanline renderer and some option are not possible or not easy. I'll add when a new option possible.

Just to add my 2 cents and sure you've heard this many times already, but it would be great to get some more features on that object tag. The whole magic of 3D is being able to turn visibility of things on and off, especially in product rendering.
Agree. I really miss this feature in Octane. It's something I use on almost every project in standard render.
I listened to the recent GSG podcast with David Brodeur & this was his main thing he also wished was a feature.

I'm hoping some new possibilities about these with OSL build of Octane.Oleg wrote:I agree the tag would be extremely useful (be able to separate lights inside scene for example), but I think it's impossible with physically correct render

You are asking for a car to be more like a horse. Everything that compositing tag does is already possibile in... well... actual compositing!
Learn how to god damn drive!

Sorry, but not agree with you here — let's imagine you have a scene with multiple light sources, well they are obviously interact with geometry and materials, and you need to get rid of one or more lights... You go and switch them off but those lights still reflect in materials (floor etc.). How can you remove the reflection in compositing?milanm wrote:@andrefry @abhominal
