It's a shame 8X is a POS when you have to use Out of Core. in V3 I've seen renders go from 30s to 2min because of it. It doesn't sound like much, but when you have to render 4000 frames... We're talkin' 5 days instead of 1.

I know, I never run into Vram issues, but I'm always trying to avoid tacking on unneccessary seconds to a render because in an animation, like you said with the frames, it costs dearly.
And that is what I always say about the 1080 and its 8GB Vram...POS
Now, the 1080 Ti, with its 11GB Vram, is a lesser POS, but still, a POS nether the less...

Smicha, any more tid-bits on that POS you are working on?
We are drooling over here :P

I will tell you for now that I moved China to produce special stuff for the build - I don't want to say to much but this will be something world has never seen before, seriously. :ugeek: 8-)

Wow. Ok guys, I give up. I guess this system will finally surpass something like the one in the video below. Or not?

LOL...Nice! I want that! Ps- my rig is a big POS!

Milanm, do you go out of C4D or do you ever export out a scene package to the standalone, sometimes for me I found the renders were compressed for some reason when exported out to the standalone (lower memory) and they rendered faster, only thing is that then you have to wait for the standalone to CPU compile each frame (also for me I did with Daz Studio, not C4D). Thinking maybe it could be something to try out.

Oh man, getting even more excited now imagining the mind of Tutor might play a role in this somehow!
Smicha, can you just answer one question...Will it involve water ;) ?
Or blood!? Wait...Are you going to be connected to the rig, as in, you ARE the rig!!!?
