Hi All, after a ton of work, and tweaking, here is the final version of the fountain courtyard. Thanks to everyone for their advice and help. I think it paid off big.

good result, although the lighting does look very strange...
this is also a scene which could use some bump mapping, once octane supports it :)

Yeah the lighting is weird. Most likely because the fountain area is enclosed and so there is more shadow coming in. I was trying to be somewhat accurate to the fountain here at work. I'll try getting rid of some walls when I get home and see if I can get a better look. I really do love the camera response algorithms. I was thinking about doing a video tutorial on those.

Some bump mapping would be great. I am really sitting on pins and needles waiting for the full release to have that and material emitters.
