Hi,
sorry, I know its certainly not octane-related!
I still have the problem that C4D automatically closes scenes without saving
when openen new scenes.
Is there now a solution out there?
thanks
Mike
maybe anyone got a solution yet for C4D self closing docs?

It happens to me only in one scenario. I have a scene and i start the render, then i close the picture viewer, switch to another scene, and my first scene is gone although the first scene is still rendering if i open picture viewer. It happens in R16, R17 and R18 AFAIK.

To have a sight that people have to give good reports with exact steps for reproducing these. Do you?miohn wrote:same here.
Even scene gets closed, PV continues to render - thanks god - better than both is gone!
So lot more people still having this problem and still no solution in sight?

Mike

Hi Ahmet,
can not report exact steps.
As said, I have one scene open and let it render to PV.
When I then, and this happens randomly in my case, open another
scene to work on, while rendering the first scene to PV, the first scene closes
just without saving. But PV is still rendering that closed scene.
Cannot say more!
I don't know, but I could imagine its not a octane plugin problem.
I just wanted to know, if maybe some others with same behavior have
already a solution for this.

I get this too.
I work on a scene, send to render in the picture viewer, I switch to another file that is open, and boom. The file I've sent to render is closed without saving. Always need to go back to an older autosave file.

I'll try to reproduce. Otherwise i'll need to ask for details.tommiegeraedts wrote:I get this too.
