is it a bug or just an implementation that emitters are only one sided?

I have emitters putting out light on the wrong side of the plane, and no way to switch it. Have to go back to blender to turn the plane around.

Will we be able to invert the emitting side? or emit on both sides?

Kind of a mixed bug/feature request/is it planned post.

Thanks :)

Emission is in direction of normals. If you want a plane to emit on both side, extrude it a little bit to get some thickness and calculate normals outside. If you dont want light to be emitted from the edges, remove the very small faces around the extruded volume.

I'm aware of that, but this leads to complicatedness.. As I want to have light in the 'inside' faces and not to go back and export again the entire scene to do it...

"Emit on back side" flag would be great, I think. Of course it's possible to achieve that by modeling but it's unnecesary complication of things.

it's all fun and easy, but i've a very small amount of flags i can give to nodes on the gpu,
so it's not %100 super easy to just add more options.

i'll see what i can do.
