@Golidsart I do exactly what you do, but in my case i also use an HDRI env picture as lighting method. So if i check both 'alpha' and 'use viewport background' i can see my background in the kernel BUt !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Problem happen if i save that picture, the saved file is not what i see in the kernel [as the saved file will not have the background] ...

I also tried to deactivate "Alpha" while maintaining "Use environment background" but in that case my "background is not used anymore ... Instead the HDRI picture [environment] is rendered as background ... And this is not what i want !!!!

I wnat to use the HDRI picture as env for lighting puprose and i want a backplate "as background"

I can do that inside all engines : redshift, vray, arnold but with Octane i have to recompose it within photoshop ... Wich is very stupid as i see the correct picture inside the kernel viewport ...

To me it's a bug or a weird "as designed" system that need some improvements.

Any octane team member out there ?

This is actually what i really do ... Proof picxture attached ... But once is i save my grey background is totally forgotten. And it's black instead ... Why ???

So basically i repeat octane do render the picture i need but when i save i don't have my background anymore ...
