Hi guys.
Is it possible to animate a fog volume object?
I need this to achieve the gas flowing.
Also is it possible to animate native C4D shaders like noise with Octane? Or do Ii have to use image sequences only?

If you've been through the Video tutorials section of the documentation on the website, unfortunately there aren't any tutorial videos that cover Volumes from within Cinema 4d, but If you check out the standalone videos for 3x. these 3 videos might help:
https://docs.otoy.com/#28Standalone_Edition
Volumes Part 1:
Volumes Part 2:
Volumes Part 3:
As far as I can tell, you'll need something to drive the volume objects (.vdb external files) which means something like Blender and Blender's OpenVDB project might be able to produce some basic animated volumes that you can then import into your volume object within C4D and tweak your shaders to get the look you want.
If you can have something within C4d drive the Volume objects procedurally, I too would love to know so I'll be watching this topic. Hopefully those 3 videos at least help you get started.

If you put a texture to texture slot and animate some parameters that will do. Just don't forget it's same as material's update mechanism. It will not know updates without getting a update flag.

Thanks Cameron!
In this case my only way would be learn about generating VDB files, which I have no knowledge at the moment... And no time due to a short deadline of the project
I'll put it to my "to learn" list
Ahmet - I'll give it a try. Thanks.

ok, guys, one noob question cause I'm strugling AF...
How to properly set up "movement" of noise? Not "animation parameter".
I set up "speed" and value in Y. Space "world".
And don't see any movement at all, not only in Octane renderer but in native C4D renderer too...
What am I doing wrong? Am I missing something?
The noise is just not moving..
