I don´t know, have i? ;)
I have an issue with flipping normals on Strand-Curves, so that i must integrate a parallel transport algorithm.
The problem is that i become the tangents from the curve in the order as the point id is.
Is the uv from 0 to 1 then i become eg. first the tangent on uv 0.8 then the next tangent on uv 0.2 then on uv 0.9.
But the parallel transport algorithm must become one uv and the following uv to calculate the normal or binormal.
Also first eg. uv 0.1 and uv 0.2. For the next normal uv 0.2 and uv 0.3...

I must also sort the uv´s on the tangents, so that i becomes the right pair to calculate the normal.
It´s all realy tricky for me, while i hate the c++ vectors ;)
I hope to find a solution with the Softimage CVector class...

If you use Octane pre 2.3 then the plugin doesn´t work.
But this is a Octane issue.
I think the next Octane release will work like the 2.2
