Any update on this, Paul? =) just curious.
I have just finished up the coding on it, but there is still a change that Lightmap will do at their end, and then it should be good to go.

This is very exciting news. How is it going to work with Lightmap then? I have a C4D and a Maya license of HDRLS.

Will I need to buy an Octane license?

Hi Paul,

Do you know how close they are to release this connector? I'm an early adopter and was sent a 75% off to upgrade to 5.4 (i think), which includes the connectors (as well as the standalone). Would love to pick this up at that price if I can?

Thanks

May I suggest putting this question to Lightmap - they will have a better idea of the release schedule.

Hello,

Well it took longer than expected, but we have pleasure in releasing the HDR Light Studio connection for Octane Render Standalone.

Here is a video showing the workflow.
https://vimeo.com/280546269

It works really well and as expected, Octane Standalone is 'very' fast at updating when lighting changes are made.
The Octane Render image is displayed in HDR Light Studio where lights can be positioned using our LightPaint tools.

It's available to test free for 15 days from our web site. See what you think.

I expect to make some more videos showing it in action too. Thanks to Lee Henshall for providing a nice demo scene I will be working with. Plus a big thanks to Paul for his work helping us with the initial coding.
Regards
Mark
