This may be a super derpy question, but Is there a way to save the scattering medium (fog) as it's own pass like you do reflections, sss, diffuse, post, etc...?

Also interested in this. What would be the best way to have the clouds inside a Volume be saved in a pass?

Hi momade,
I have answered you in the other post.
Since there are no polygons in volumes, info channels cannot work.
You need to use Render Layer to isolate the volume and obtain the correct alpha.
