Hi All,
We're really enjoying using Octane here since we made the jump a month or so ago. We have 8 machines with 2 x 1080 GTXs in each, which is 16 total. Our motherboards support 4x GPUs though, so if we wanted to add more GPUs we'd be approaching the 20 GPU limit.
My query is why is there a limit? Is there some technical limitation? I'm greedy I guess, and we have potentially enough GPU slots for 32 cards across our machines, but that would obviously be a waste with the limit as discussed above.
Thanks!
20 GPU Limit - why?

Hi cahaldallett,
the 20 GPUs limit is per Master, so you can have 16 GPUs with Master 1, and the other 16 GPUs with Master 2, and so on, and you can add a fifth machine at both masters. For example, you can split the sequence or the stills, or rendering right eye with Master 1, and left eye with Master 2.
