Hello,
My main workstation has two Titan X Pascal ( 12 GB ) and one GTX 1080 ( 8GB ), as expected my rendering Vram is only 8GB, and my current project uses 2000/6000 aprox ( 2GB )
My other render boxes are networked 780ti ( 3GB ) I was expecting to only have about 2.2 - 2.5 GB or render VRAM as on network mode, only the minimum ram available is allocated.
Why am i seeing 8GB in total?
I have no option of outboard / motherboard RAM in use, And Am using win 7 / Win 10 combination on Octane build 3.04.3
Thank you in advance
Octane shows 8 gB of video ram despite my gpus 3G!

hi, Asher.
You're seeing 8GB on Your network rendering machine or You connected render node & trying to see amount of vram on Your main machine (with TitanX & 1080)?
if You're looking on main machine, as far as I understand it does not reflect amount of vram from Your render node.

Hi,
The statistics about the GPU RAM are only related to the local GPUs. I am not 100% sure, but I think that the networked GPUs are only used if the scene fits on their available GPU RAM. If the net GPUs don't have enough GPU RAM available for the scene, they are simply ignored.
Thanks,
-Juanjo

Yes the reading comes from my main pc, were two Tiatan X Pascal are 12GB, and one 1080 ( 8GB ) so as expected, i only have 8GB.
BUT, i was expecting Ocate to "handshake" the available GPUS on network ( 780ti 3GB ) and recognize they are only 3GB, and indicate me, on my main Workstation, that I only have 3GB for render.
Does this make sence?
Is there any handshaking?

As far as I know, there isn't. Since You can keep an eye on how big is Your scene & how much of vram do You have on Your render nodes, You can plan a bit ahead. If Your scene would get bigger than 3GB & would not fit inside, render node would fail & that's it.
ok, on ipr window the bug is present, only local vram is displayed.
on F9/F10, there is an indication of "Net vram" which is showing in my case about 2200mb, what i expected.
the ipr window should indicate separately the net ram.... right?
