It would be great if there could be a possibility to have a random selection of texture tiles within a material
Here is a link for map which are used for a 3d max plugin:

It works like this , you select a number of textures which have the same size and the multi texture material would use them as random bricks to create a large map.
this way it is possible to avoid tiling artefacts when texturing large areas of floor or alike.
