Hi,
I'm trying to get an air bubble enclosed in a glass cube to render more or less correctly.
I know this problem has been stated often, but I couldn't find a newer solution how to do this the best way.
I've found following approaches:
- Just put a sphere inside your glass box. Play with IOR until you're happy, forget physics and optics
- Needs an IOR of one, because there's air inside (but the sphere becomes invisible)
- You need a double sided material (OK, but how do I do that?)
I can make it work with the first approach, but I feel that the refractions somehow don't look convincing. These are not small air bubbles in water, but spherical air enclosures of considerable size.
If anybody has an easy solution, please let me know. thanks a lot

Hi,
You just need to have the inside bubbles with inverted normals so Octane knows what's "inside" (Glass) and what's "outside" (Air).
That should refract as it would in reality.
