Hey. I'm very new with octane renderer. I'm trying demo version for blender and it's awesome by far. But i have a few questions before i buy a licence. I'm using mist pass in blender cycles very often. But i couldn't manage do it in octane because there is no mist pass. I don't wanna use scatter. Is there any way to achieve same effect without mist pass ? I wonder scalability too. I have a single gtx 970 for now. I want to make it x4 soon. Render time will be reduced approx x4 right ?

no, there is not a mist pass in OctaneRender, beside the classic Z-depth pass. We have the Environment Medium node for mist effects based on absorption and scattering.
In alternative, you can use a geometry with fog material and have the mist effect in the SSS pass.
The GPU power is correctly scalable, look at some OctaneBench results for multi-gpu systems:
