Hello,

I have a color palette that I'd like to use to light my scene. I've tried all methods, and it seems the only way to set color in octane is with temperature but I only have the rgb values from Houdini (see attachment). I even tried changing the diffuse color in the emission material but that didn't help.

Hi,

If you are lighting your scene using objects with the Octane OBJ spare parameters, you only need to set the Emission type to "Color/Texture" and set the color using the Color RGB parameter. The same happens if you are using a custom emission material, you must use the Texture Emission node.

Thanks,

Hi,

Thank you prompt reply. I used the Octane OBJ spare parameters, and it worked! I don't know why it didn't before, or how I missed it.

Thank you again.
