It seems like more and more I'm receiving this message. So far this morning I've attempted to load 5 different materials and only one of them actually downloaded. What's worse is that the "Loading missing textures from octane live..." message freezes both the plug-in and DAZ.

For instanced, this just happened with the "silver sand" material.

Any workaround or solution?

Thank you.


P.S. I'm aware some may take more time than others to download. However, I've left it running for up to 10 minutes and nothing has happened.

Hi - this sounds like a connection problem with the Otoy servers, but I could not reproduce it by closing my internet connection during the download. I have added some additional logging in the next release of the plugin, and raised the issues with Otoy. I will let you know when I know more.

I lost about an hour's worth of work because I forgot to save before loading from the LiveDB.

By the way, what's really weird is this isn't reproducible per material. That is, sometimes a material works fine, and then the next time it freezes the system.

Any update on this? Happened again tonight...
I have reported the issue to Otoy. They are add some additional diagnostics to the next Octane release to try to identify the cause of this issue.

Hi Paul - FYI, in case you were wondering, this issue is limited to the plug-in. I tested and every material loaded with no issue in the standalone.
