I am a computer science and engineering student. During this semester, we need to study about Computer Graphics and there are many terms to study like splines, illusion, image rendering, and a number of graphical terms. Obviously, I am new to this and wish to know about this software to create graphical images. I know there are a lot of benefits being an expert in computer graphics. I hope I can continue this as a career if I get a good knowledge by practical knowledge. Would you please let me know how OctaneRender works?
Hi ellamaynard,
Octane is for rendering and it assumes that the 3D model has already been created. It is only part of the big mix. You'll need the basics of a 3D modelling application as well, but that info would be elsewhere.
As for rendering with Octane, the videos at https://docs.otoy.com/#28Standalone%20Edition would help you get an idea about how Octane works. You can also download the free demo versions to try it, you can download the demo here along with a demo suite that already has some ready made scenes to use. cheers,
