Has anybody tried out the GTX 1080s with Octane for Poser? Did you experience any issues?

Are they slower, faster, or same as a GTX 980 ti's?

I currently have (four 780 Ti's) in one computer and (two 980 Ti's in another) and am wondering if its worth upgrading replacing those to the Hybrid GTX 1080's

I think the Pascall optimization process is not an easy task for the OR team to accomplish.
Otherwise, knowing how consumer oriented they really are/were in the past, they would have given us something significant already ... just my opinion =)
There're a few topics, regarding the 1080s/1070s/1060, in the General Discussion Forum tho.
This one I picked as an example: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=56108

They haven't done any optimization. They are still waiting for Nvidia to fix the problems with cuda 8.
Octane work with Pascal cards by using a mix of cuda 7.5 and 8 for now.

Don't know about all that stuff, but my 1080 seems just as fast my old system which has 2 x gtx 670's. The 1080 has slightly less cuda cores (2540-ish) than the two 670's (2688-ish) , but tons more memory and tons more clock speed. I'm pleased with the card! Octane is happy as far as I'm concerned.

The system itself is running an i7 6800K (6 cores) which makes Poser (and any other multi-threaded application) happy as well.
i7 6800K (6 core), 24 GB, GTX 1080 8gb, Titan X 12gb

I don't think Paul has compiled a plugin version for v2.26.1.

Try ticking 'on' the active box, then close and re-open the render window. Did that work?

To support video cards in Poser. All write that we need a different version of the plugin.
But OTOY has not made this plugin yet
