Hey there,

i'm doing a short commercial with a lot of short shots. It is very tedious to start a render, wait a hour and start a new and repeat (especially when you want to render over night). So what workflow do you suggest to set all shots up and let octane do the work automatically?

Thank you in advance

If the shots are of the same scene, you could move the camera to each shot position each frame. Then render as an animation with Camera Motion Blur disabled. If the shots are for different scenes, you could render them on the cloud separately (use the octane.uploadFrame command for each shot to do this - you will need an Octane Cloud Render account) or export each separately to ORBX/OCS and render in Octane Standalone (I think you can pass a list of files to render in Standalone via the command line - you will need to check the documentation on this).

Exporting via the octane.saveAnimation command works nice. But sadly the focal depth animation gets lost. Is there a quick solution for this?

I saw your post, but i still don't know how to export to octane Standalone properly. The octane.saveAnimation command doesn't work, because it uses the focal distance of frame 1. So the only option i see is to use the Save to OCS/ORBX Button for every frame which is a little tedious.

Does unticking Camera Motion Blur still result in the focal distance not being animated?

In Modo it works, but if i export it to orbx or orc it doesn't work. I attached a sample scene
