Hi

I just bought a couple of Asus gtx 1070 turbo series but now I've installed them Octane is only showing them as having 6.5gb ram?? Did I screw up on my homework because I thought all the Ram would be usable? Displays are being driven by a titanx so it can't be that.

any ideas?

M

Hi there =)

Most likelly Your card are fine & what You just saw was rhe effect if windows slicing some vram. What version of windows You use st the moment? W10 tend to use more than W7. Devs & users are aware of this & it seems there's no other solution for now.

windows 10, that's a fair chunk to slice off. Losing 1.5gb per card that isn't driving any displays. Everyone else with a 1070 having the same problem or is it just mine? Trying to figure out if this is normal or if there's something wrong with the cards so i can send them back.
dual xeon 128gb ram titan X + 2 x 1070
windows 10 - 3dsmax + Nuke

It is normal & You loose even more with higher amount of vram. Nothing t be done here.

Again, it's not Octane Issue & devs could not do anything. Seems like windows related.
