I just finished my new environement "Ancient alien world" (super generic name lel) using octane. The whole scene was rendered in Octane, build in C4D and overpainted in photoshop

Great stuff! Really, truly, stunning. However, I must know if it was: [a] intentional to make that floating object almost identical to the engine thingamabob in Event Horizon a subconscious homage to Event Horizon complete coincidence (you never saw Event Horizon)?

Hey ! Thanks :D
Yes it was intentional, Event Horizon is one of my favorite movie and I was greatly inspired by the core. I wanted to do something like with my own twist in it

Otay omegear, I have thought about this a little bit... You are too talented an artist ( like myself ;) ) to be paying homages to sci-fi films and shit like that. Come on bro (or sis), get something in there that is completely original, mysterious, and awe-inspiring! Anyone who is capable of making what you made there, is certainly capable of coming up with a freaky-ass alien thingamabob. After all, you are a concept artist, are you not?... You can do it!
