Hi,
is it possible yet to create a ORBX, where the user can walk along a pre-rendered path within a Lightfield video ?
If ya, what's the general steps ?
Walkable ORBX Video
As far as I understand, not yet =) unless I missed something lately =)
... hopefully cmg sooner or later, ive been daydreaming and sketching ideas about such a feature since some years. now with lightfield orbx holographic video it feels coming into reach slowly.
it'd probably need a dynamic pre-load of multi orbx of adjacent viewpoints. Such files probably huge and need to read interact between ssd and ram to just keep in ram what probably be needed, in case user moves that way, and keep ram free of remote viewpoint orbx's. Whatsoever, it'll be 1 ORBX x all possible view-points in the scene, for extensive tracking-range maybe non surprising whooping 100.000 viewpoints along a path ?
To get such stuff rendered, it'd probably also be interesting, if this accumulates render results over time. So when watching from a viewpoint, the GPU adds the rendering adapts t an existing rendering and increases render quality each time this viewpoint is being watched, until the render is competed.
