i have some octane files that i would like to use as proxies in sketchup.

i can open them in the standalone 3.04.4 and they look fine, but if i link them into skethup, the object disappears, but the proxy does not show up instead.

is there any explanation for this?

thanks

Maybe they do apear, but not in Your screen, meaning their center might be way of 0,0,0. I would check this - always get some issues with imported cad data =)

hi martin

it seems that my problems where caused by the object being in the geometry being a *.abc file and not *.obj file.

Thanks Jorgenesen,

I may be doing something wrong because I can't make it work.
I think it may have to do with the units setup, I will try later today.

Happy holidays,
Martin
