Hi,

So I have some blackbody emissions with no texture or distribution on a really skinny cylinder that is only about .1cm in radius. However when I put a the blackbody texture on it with a power of only 10, the cylinders all of a sudden seem to grow in radius by a crazy amount. I have one image attached of a cylinder crossing from some mountain geometry to a plane and it looks normal when it gets to the black plane, but its so thick when against the mountain. Ive attached another photo where I'm zoomed very far out and the cylinder is much much thicker than it should be, all because of the emissions. Keep in mind I do not have any post effects on either such as bloom.

The apparent increase may be due to the 'glow' effect. What happens when you reduce 'power' from 10 to 1?

10 to 1 looks the same. If I input 0.001 it looks normal, but there's no illumination...

It must take .002 or more. When you are successful, please post it .

Yes, even if I do .002 it does the same thing, but then I also lose the amount of light that I want, which is a huge factor.

Hey Alec,

You should be really careful about running BEs through solid rock like that! It's kind of like crossing streams https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jyaLZHiJJnE.

Maybe Octane is just trying to save you from "total protonic reversal"...?
