hi everybody,
i'm new to octane, i try last week to do a render with it, using maya. my GPU was a gtx 770. rendering was ok but i needed it to render faster. i got octane 3.04
i just bought a titan x pascal and try to install it and since then the render won't start anymore, black ipr doesn't compute anything.
i was all excited to see what would be the speed with a titan but no luck.
any idea?
thanks
s.

Hi there
try to install not the very latest drivers but version or two older. I've seen some guys lately having some issues with latest drivers & getting older versions helped to solve the problem.
Let us know how that goes =) & I'm pretty sure we'll find a solution soon after!

wtf.... i'm so impressed no octane team guys are reading the forum and also there's no topic about octane + titan x pascal.
i don't understand anything about those f*cking drivers, looks like gpu drivers are overridden by cuda drivers + i can't find any cuda drivers older than the 8.0.44 and also i'm so over with installing-uninstalling and got nothing working in the end...

Hi, again.
Check this site: chose Your operating system & other things, like GPU. http://www.geforce.com/drivers
Go to install from the most recent & then previous versions.. - You should not experiment a lot. Just install, reboot & try run Octane.
& please consider that OTOY team is scattered in different continents - don't get upset if You do not get answer right away. Please check solutions I've pointed & drop a line how it goes!

thank you glimpse, but i just already tried 3 different drivers and considering you need cudas to make octane work, i was assuming that the octane team would be aware of which gpu and which driver with that version of octane for which OS etc etc would work or not, i don't see any warning to not buy that card or to not use that driver. i'm starting to wonder if the test i've seen here and there with titans pascal were working only with cinema4d not with maya, since there's already a better integration in cinema4d compare to maya (of course nobody speak about that when you buy maya plugin), i don't know, too tired now to try again with other drivers, i'm gonna check everything tomorrow morning.
anyway, you're the only one who took the time to try to help me, so i thank you again.

Im not sure Maya has Pascal support, It didnt a month ago unless things have changed.
Its pretty well documented on the forums so maybe you shouldve done a quick search.
Have you tested standalone with the Titan X?
