Hi All,

Please help. I am trying to use a photograph as a background in my viewport. I want to place the photograph as a simple rectangular viewport background and lock it. I want to dolly the camera so it will adjust the location obj mesh but i want the background image to remain still. Once the location is correct, I will render or render and composite in photoshop.

Thanks,

I am using Octane standalone. This is a simple procedure in 3ds max or Rhino but I cant seem to do it in Octane standalone.

Thanks,

You can do that too in Standalone, however I could not find that documented, so it may need to be updated.

There's a button in the toolbar under your render viewport that lets you choose the background image, just make sure you enable alpha in your kernel settings.
