3x TITAN Maxwell Vs 4x GTX 1080

Hi!

Just received a new rig with 4x GTX 1080s.
I already own a 3x Titan Maxwell rig.

Both systems have the same specs except for the graphic cards and that the 1080 rig is fully liquid cooled.

Test rendered in C4Ds octane the image attached.

Settings.
Pathtracing
2048 samples

3x Titan maxwell 2.02 minutes
4x GTX 1080 1.32 minutes.

does this seem accurate or there is any optimization process or settings/drivers etc, I am missing?
I was expecting a bigger increase in performance after some test I saw around the net.

Any feedback will be much appreciated

Just made a similar post myself:

I was expecting a much bigger boost coming from 4 x 780 Ti's to 3 x 1080 SC's and my test render results were almost identical... as in... no performance increase whatsoever.

Yeah, it is interesting, I am definetkly getting some performance increase,
But I assumed that now as is one extra card and they suppose to be much faster the performance will be much better.
