Hi all,
I really tried my best before posting. So I'm asking for help if someone could let me know how to get the "Gums" material look I want in Octane.

The material that looks nice is the pink "Gums" in the render below. It's a default material in Cinema 4D --->Load Material --->Visualize--->Medical--->Gums. (at least this is the path from memory)

I've tried and tried and can't replicate it for Octance as you'll see the yellow material is the one I came up with in the second render.

Any help in translating the C4D Gums material for Octane I'd really be grateful.
Thanks you.

your octane material is much nicer!

I'm sure this is stating the bleeding obvious, but your Octane material needs to be pink, have a lot less bump and a lot less roughness. The c4d material also looks like it has a fresnel effect of some kind. Maybe you can try a fall-off node in Octane for that?

Thanks Mitchino :)

Lol. Yellow it is. The pink gums material I forgot to change to yellow :)

Ill try the falloff node. Haven't tried it before, and I'll reduce the dimpled effect of the bump.
But really, I'd love if there was a way to either convert the C4D SSS materials to Octane or if someone with mad Octane skills messed with a material and guided me on settings to get that waxy, yet subtle translucent look of the C4D Gums mat.

I'd like to try but my Octane plug-in is currently dead!

I'm sure you can get a better look in Octane than c4d, it's so good at that type of material. maybe some SSS would help.
