Hi there,
I've got a number of machines here all ready to render animation with Octane, but I'm wondering. Is it quicker overall to render using network render or to render multiple scenes on different machines individually? Does the network render use maximum amount of power available to each machine or do they function better of their own?
Network Render vs Rendering on multiple machines

Network render is fine as long as your LAN is fast. With bigger scenes it can take a while until all stuff is squeezed to the clients. But when those start to render they run at 100% just like the master does.
I use that every day and I am happy with it.
With every machine in single mode you even need time to handle the data manually and a separate licence for octane plugin is required.
