Because at work I have it next to a 5k iMac and the Dell 5k looks awful in both colour and sharpness, I'm not saying its bad but in terms of colour its got a green/yellow twinge to it. It may not be the monitor and could be a windows thing but I'm not impressed with the picture when it takes up 2 xHDMI's to power the thing and gets quite hot when using it for a few hours.rappet wrote: May I ask why you are not impressed by the 5k Dell monitor?
I have multiple ips 4k Dell UP2414Q and I like it a lot.
Cheers,
Mac runs 5k like it was built on it but I'm not too sure windows handles it that well, due to this I may have to downgrade to a 4k. 1080 for instance is tiny when viewed at actual size on a 5k display, but the pixels are so dense it looks super crisp. Backgrounds on 5k iMac are breathtaking the amount of detail, and 6000px RAWs from my DSLR fit almost perfectly on the display, so you can only imagine how crisp they are.oguzbir wrote: I dont have a 4K monitor. I occasionally have glimpse look at my wifes 27" 5K apple imac and mesmerised by it.
May Iask you if a 24" 4K monitor is logical at all? or not? would it give any headaches with the small UI in some apps? Do you run them at native res. all times?
I have a dell UP2716D a 2K monitor with impressively good color display. I event think 27 is again small for a 4K monitor.
What's your thoughts on this. I'm really curious. And I am considering buying one myself.
This is why I'm after the best monitor I can get as I think the iMac has the best display on the market filled up with mediocre hardware with no upgradability, so the display is the best part.
LG and Asus 4k's are currently at the top of my list thus far
Thanks for all the replies so far!
