Scatter object in houdini ?

Hello,

There is a Scatter generator in the c4d octane plugin that I can't find in the houdini version. I guess the particles system uses it.
Is there any way to access it ?

I suppose that the scatter feature of the C4D plugin is a tool developed on the plugin side. In Houdini, you have a lot of tools to scatter objects, starting with the Scatter SOP node, that can be used later with instances or particles to render the final objects.

Ah ok specific to C4d then.
But are the instancing features of octane used if I just rely on the copy SOP (without using packed primitives) or may be with the native Houdini instance object ?

You can use the native Instance OBJ node or the "instance" attribute to instance objects, or the sphere primitives feature if you want to render a massive amount of simple particles:
