Hi guys,

could You tell me which of the software mentioned in the topic of this message works better with Octane for c4d at the moment,
and if neither works great then maybe You know plans of the companies producing them about the near future?

I am asking because as You know tomorrow is black friday, and it's a perfect opportunity to buy software. Quixel suite for example is 40% off
right now (still waiting for some discounts on substance).

I know that Otoy is talking with allegorithimic, because he mentioned it on facebook. I know also that You can use both of the programs
with Octane, but there have been problems with 100% identical results. I myself was unable to achieve them at least.

Cheers,
Luke

hi Luke, just a heads up =) I think Allegorithmic pushed out 50% discounts for indie at least.

as for results, You can try to look for some answer in this forum - there has been multiple threads =) let me know if You need some help to locate those.

Since this is posed on C4D part of forum, guess You're using C4D =)?

I'm really loving Substance at the moment. I couldn't get it to work that well with C4D native shaders but it works really well with Octane.
I followed the tutorials on the Glass Hand Studios youtube page & this got me going well with the workflow. I really like the Substance layer system and it has lots of features that wow me, like the particle brush.

Thank You Tom! Whilst writing this post I was almost certain that I will buy Substance, just wanted to be reassured.
Some time ago I've been searching a lot for information, here and on allegorithmic forums as well and made some tests
with demo version of Substance. The results were not very convincing for me. I don't want to struggle with this stuff,
I would rather prefer to focus on work :)

So I hoped that maybe something changed, but found nothing new. I've seen some posts that Quixel made it easy, but
wasn't been able to check it myself. Anyways Jules Urbach recently mentioned that Otoy is working with Allegorithmic,
and I have decided to buy Substance indie pack and hope for the best :)

Andrefry, thank You! Although I must admit that I am aware of this tutorial, just wasn't able to try if it works - now when I have bought substance it will be possible. I must admit tough that I'm a little bit skeptical,
tried too many things that didn't worked well for me :)
