I was following along with this Grayscalegorilla tutorial on the x-particles sound modifier: http://greyscalegorilla.com/tutorials/a ... -modifier/

and I'm really interested in using the "Map Parameter: Color" feature but have no clue how to have that working with an Octane Material. I basically want to replicate exactly what the tutorial did, but using a material with Emission and have the emission color be effected by sound.

Does anyone know if this is possible?

Here's a basic scene with the sound modifier running. You might have to re-link the sound file in the modifier and also in the special track in the timeline. New to this so wasn't sure how to package it correctly.

You can see that the editor view shows colored particles, but Octane renders them as white. I want to be able to add an emission material to the particles and have the colors in the map parameter be the emission color.

Let me know if that makes sense.

Still not possible to give exact colors to renderinstances. Xparticles are working like renderinstances. Just you can use random texture of Octane on renderinstances. (We will add a support for this)
Or use mograph color texture with non-render instances.
