Hi,

i'm new to cinema 4D and Octane and i trying to build a simple rainsystem with a particle emitter and instances.

Instancing the geo directly under the emitter is working with motion blur, also the way over a cloner + emitter is working.... (Motion blur is not working correclty with render instances enabled.....in both cases) sadly it takes ages to render with 1 000 000+ instances.

With the Octane Object Tag and particle rendering enabled it is working perfectly and is really fast..... but motion blur is not working. (The Liveviewer renders also only the particles in the viewport / editor) :/

Is this a bug? Is there a workaround? An alternative way?

Thanks

Motion blur will not work If you're trying to use particle rendering with standard particles/emitter. It has been disabled due problems. Best alternative is xparticles in case.

So, the only way to achieve motion blur with octane and particles is buying x particles?

you can still use instances with any particles.
