I've got a really big exterior scene with a lot of bushes, flowers, a lot of 3d tiling roof, and few objects with displacement, and the amount of triangles estimated by Liveviewer is around 34-36 million.
With this level of scene I've no problem and the render goes right to the end.
If I try to add to the scene another big element (a tree with around 1 or 2 million of polygons) I've got a render failure.
My sensation is to have no reach the phisical limit of the triangle amount (that I know to be around 90 million, correct?) but quite that to insert single objects with a large amount of poly can cause render failure in these hudge scene.
So I ask your opinion Aoktar (or anyone else that have an opinion about).
Obviously I can send the complete scene by Wetrasfer if you need.
Also minor datails (if useful):
- very few objects with displacement active
- out-of-core option activated but not used a lot
- 3.03.3 R1
Thanks a lot.

Hi GIOLETS,
unfortunately you are very close to the limit, especially of VRAM consumption, I guess.
The limit is around 78 millions of Triangles, so around 39 millions of Polygons, that are about 8.5 GB of VRAM.
What kind of GPUs are you using?
Cannot use more instances objects or reduce a bit the polygon count of far objects?
ciao beppe

Hi dear Bepeg4d (little OT: where are you from? I'm from north Italy, near Trento)
I'm with 2x GTX780 6G and 1x TitanX 12G (sigh) so the VRAM limit is 6G and I have enabled out-of-core with 8G.
But. I'm very sorry of that, I made a mistake (worked too late last night): I'm around 39 millions of TRIANGLES not Polygons, as I can read in Live Viewer section.
So, if I understood well, not so close to the 78 millions limit, correct?

In any case I am ready to send the entire scene for test.
