We've gotten more requests for this in the last 2 months, so possibilities are always there. Is it possible to get poser versions of the Genesis 3 for Daz since I have been able to get them into poser finally after following the tutorials?
We would - however - find a workflow to bring G3 into Poser that works for all.
Once this is possible without problems, we can always release a Poser version

What method did you use?

Oh, I would really like a Poser version.TRRazor wrote:We've gotten more requests for this in the last 2 months, so possibilities are always there. Is it possible to get poser versions of the Genesis 3 for Daz since I have been able to get them into poser finally after following the tutorials?

For me, I used the method that listed at Renderosity and SmithMicro. Here is a link to a webinar that describes the steps.

Yes, we are aware of this method.
But as we explained in our dA-journal here: http://redspecsss.deviantart.com/journa ... -593180634
Using this method effectively renders (no pun intended
) Genesis 3's improvements over G2 useless.
A huge part of the update was switching to Dual Quaternion weight maps - reconverting those back to TriAx (which is the weight mapping of G1 and G2) takes away a lot of the much better bending G3 has, compared to G1 and G2.
Once we have a solution that brings over G3 WITH Dual Quaternions into Poser (which would require SmithMicro to integrate DQ-support first) we'll happily release a shader for G3 in Poser.
