- so maybe it's a repeat, but I could find anything usefull quickly, it would be nice if someone has some open source files already set up with some quality smoke and volumetric stuff
- can't seem to find the time to experiment with this from scratch
any preset scenes with smoke/dust/fire?

Today I've managed to create first photoreal render of fire with use of fume fx and octane render. Setting up smoke and fire values in octane volume took few hours, but it is damn fast. Attached frame rendered like 7 minutes in 2K on single gtx 1080. With displacement, dof, volume and motion blur. I am not sure if this forum supports attachments, so I cant put a frame here.
I recommend to find some time and create a simple scene with octane volume and any vdb file to understand how it works and bugs it carries.

you can attach, but you didn't attach anything..
- anyway thanks, but yeah, I don't have "a few" hours to fiddle around, as I want to create some actual content and not loose that much time with efects , what I meant is a need some quickstart/tutorial..
- I usually do take time for stuff like that, but in the past year I decided that fiddling for hours with things I can add in photoshop in a few minutes makes me do just that
