Hi there.

I have a xtrange render behavior.

After 5 or 10 frames the render becomes dead slow or freezes the whole system.

Im rendering a simple scene with some X-particles and some motion blur just on X-particles.

Gpu temp seams normal. Around 81 C on each card.

Any ideas ?

I may try to re open the scene on a new scene. Not sure if that can solve the problem.

Please check attachment image.

Working on last R17 and last Octane build. All cards drivers up to date (Titan X) also OS.

Cheers.

Mmm why did you double posted this issue? such thing it's not necessary... Now about your problem have you tried rendering the scene separately? particles in one pass and everything else in another.

Looks like performance drop on gpus. Nothing else make any sense on me. While you posting the things like that please to more tests to provide more data.
Did you tested this under different scenarios? Did you tested long frame separately?

Hi there.

Thanks for the reply. Sorry for double posting. You guys are my only way of getting some help. Im in a heavy production environment and when I encounter technical obstacles it is difficult for me to figure it out alone. I will be more carful in the future.

After some tests, I realize that my SLI was activated. I deactivated and run some stress tests on the cards. They are fine. Then I try the renders and they work fine. I think that was the problem.

SLI question.

Do I need the bridge stay installed on the cards ? Or is better to take it out ?

Thanks guys.

SLI doesn't help Octane in any way.

If you physically remove the SLI Bridge, you can be sure to never have this problem again.

I'm glad you were able to solve the problem! I've seem several times people saying that having the SLI activated and such degrades the performance or caused issues just like what happened to you.

Yes.

I totally forgot the sli detail. Is very important.

Is actually on the common questions section of Octane website.

Alvaro.
