If you want motion-blur only on animated objects and no camera motion-blur, no it's not possible.
Motion-blur obviously comes from the movement of an object relatively to the camera, not relatively to the world.

But why would you want that anyway?

Hi.

Thanks for the reply.

That was my thinking to.

But it took me a while to understand the values to achieve particle motion blur. So, at some point I was thinking that it would be nice to have the option to have the camera motion blur off.

But, it turn out that I need it to adjust better the camera motion blur values.

Still it may be nice though.

Alvaro.

For your example I think what is really needed is a way in Octane to oversample motion-blur per object to simulate retinal persistence,
and yes it would be a nice option to have in this case.

That would be awesome.

Still, the way Octane handles MB/DOF is pretty cool ! And fast.

Using vray on Maya, vel pass and depth, still, not the best. And take ages to use it on camera.

Alvaro.
