Is it possible to convert Cycles materials to Octane?
Would be a really nice feature since any 3D Blender asset you find online is setup to render in Cycles.

I have been thinking a lot about this, although it should get a bit easier once Octane supports OSL. For image based textures it's easy to move them over to Octane. The more complex procedural textures are much harder. About the only way to do this consistently is to bake the texture in Cycles and then use the images in Octane. You wouldn't be able to adjust them, but it should work for static assets. It should be fairly easy to make a script that would bake an object's textures and then output or create the Octane textures. The big issue would be that we need the Octane plugin to work with Cycles.
