Hi everyone,

Our servers as well as many others have been affected today by issues in DNS resolution affecting our account and other services due to a massive outage caused by a DDoS attack targeting systems operated by Domain Name System (DNS) provider Dyn. This has already been fixed and may have caused you to not to be able to connect to our authentication and licensing systems.

You may find all information about the incident and the posterior recovery here.

Also, in case you are in doubt about any of OTOY's online services you may check our status page.

Octane's authentication uses floating licenses, which require an Internet connection. In case you experience an unstable connection or want to avoid issues like this in the future you may use offline licensing. More information about authentication and licensing modes can be found in the documentation here.

Please let us know if you are still experiencing any issues.
